The St. Johns River is the longest and most significant river in Florida. All portions of the river and watersheds are managed by the St. Johns River Water Management District. In Seminole and Volusia county lovely estate homes, several lakes and smaller developments can be found tucked into the meandering banks of the St. Johns. The areas that pertain most to Central Florida real estate surround the charming Towns of Sanford on the South Bank of Lake Monroe and Deland who's western unincorporated areas include Beresford Lake and Hontoon Island.
